Peli Hardigg ISP² Case
Inter-Stacking Pattern | Protective Case | Peli Hardigg
The ISP² series stacking pattern eliminates virtually all load movement using the unique ISP(Inter-StackingPattern) system. Peli ISP2 Cases are engineered for professional logistics, defence, industrial transport and mission-critical applications where secure, efficient and reliable cargo handling is essential. Designed around a unique Inter-Stacking Pattern system, the ISP2 range helps create stable, space-efficient loads on standard logistics platforms while protecting valuable equipment from impact, vibration, dust, moisture and harsh transport conditions.
Inter-Stacking Pattern for Secure Loads
One of the key features of the ISP2 Case System is its patented Inter-Stacking Pattern. The base and lid surfaces are designed with a 10 x 10 cm squared pattern that allows cases to interlock when stacked. This helps each case “fall” into position and lock securely with the case beneath it.
This system significantly reduces load movement during transport and enables cross-stacking for tighter, more stable pallet loads. Whether transported by road, sea or air, the ISP2 system helps prevent shifting cargo, reduces the need for excessive strapping or netting, and supports safer, more efficient handling.
Optimised for Standard Logistics Platforms
The ISP2 Case System has been developed to maximise the use of standard pallet and cargo platforms, including Euro pallets, NATO pallets, 463L Master pallets and sea containers. The metric case dimensions allow multiple case sizes to be combined with minimal wasted space.
On Euro pallets, the ISP2 system is designed to achieve full surface usage, helping reduce empty cargo space and improve transport efficiency. By maximising available pallet volume, the system can contribute to lower shipping costs and more efficient warehouse and deployment operations.
Robust Rotationally Moulded Construction
ISP2 Cases are manufactured using rotational moulding, a process that creates a highly durable, impact-resistant structure. The material is a proprietary polyethylene formulation developed to provide an ideal balance of low weight, panel rigidity and long-term durability.
The rotational moulding process naturally places approximately 15% to 20% more material in corners and edges, where impact protection is most critical. This results in reinforced areas that help the case withstand rough handling, stacking loads and demanding transport conditions.
Reinforced Corners and Edges
The corners and edges of ISP2 Cases are built thicker than standard wall sections to provide additional protection against drops, knocks and repeated handling. These reinforced zones help absorb impact energy and protect the contents of the case, especially during loading, unloading and field deployment.
Moulded-In Stacking Ribs
Moulded-in stacking ribs provide secure, non-slip stacking when cases of matching sizes are placed together. These ribs help stabilise vertical loads and improve stacking confidence, especially when cases are loaded onto pallets or stored in warehouses.
The use of columnar ribs in the case walls also enables taller pallet stacks than many conventional packaging solutions, helping make better use of overhead cargo space.
Comfort Grip Handles
ISP2 Cases are fitted with heavy-duty comfort grip handles designed for easier manual handling. These patented Peli-Hardigg handles are spring-loaded so they return to a flat position when not in use. This reduces snagging during transport and helps keep the case profile clean and practical.
The handles improve deployment speed compared with conventional containers, especially when cases must be moved quickly in logistics, military, emergency or industrial environments.
Patented Moulded-In Metal Inserts
The case design includes patented moulded-in metal inserts at catch and hinge attachment points. These inserts are engineered to distribute loads into the case walls, improving hardware strength and long-term durability.
This feature helps protect the integrity of the case during repeated opening, closing, lifting and transport operations.
Recessed Hardware
All critical hardware is recessed into the case body to reduce the risk of impact damage. By keeping catches, hinges and other components protected within the case profile, the design helps prevent snagging and improves reliability during transport.
This is particularly useful in environments where cases are stacked tightly, moved by forklift, loaded into vehicles or exposed to rough handling.
Double-Walled Rim with Tongue-and-Groove Seal
ISP2 Cases feature a double-walled rim with a tongue-and-groove sealing system. This construction helps the case remain sealed even after impact and improves resistance against splash, rain, dust and moisture.
Depending on the configuration, air- and watertight options are available. The silicone sponge O-ring helps protect sensitive equipment from environmental exposure during storage and transport.
Positive Anti-Shear Locks
Positive anti-shear locks are built into the case design to keep the lid and base aligned during impact. This helps prevent lid separation, reduces stress on the hardware and improves the overall structural integrity of the case.
This feature is especially valuable when cases are exposed to shocks, drops or heavy movement during transport.
Pressure Relief Valve
ISP2 Cases can be equipped with a pressure relief valve that allows excess internal air pressure to escape. This helps prevent vacuum lock caused by altitude or temperature changes and makes the case easier to open after air transport or changes in environmental pressure.
The TA238 pressure relief valve is included as standard on the preconfigured ISP2 models.
Card Holder for Identification
A card holder is integrated into the case design for tracking and identifying contents. This allows users to label cases clearly for logistics, inventory control, mission preparation or warehouse management.
Clear identification helps speed up deployment, reduce handling errors and improve operational efficiency.
Optional Functional Accessories
Depending on the model and application, ISP2 Cases can be configured with additional options such as document holders, humidity indicators, lifting rings, tie-down rings, lockable cable or hasp systems, skid runners and forklift provisions.
Certain 600 mm wide cases are available with skid runners as an option, and selected larger models can include wheels. These accessories help adapt the case system to specific transport, storage and operational requirements.
Compatibility Across the ISP2 Range
The ISP2 system is compatible across a broad range of case sizes, allowing users to combine different models within the same logistics platform. The system supports 64 different case sizes, ranging from compact cases to larger transport containers.
This flexibility makes it easier to build mixed pallet loads while maintaining a stable, tightly packed structure with minimal wasted cargo space.
Manufactured in Europe
ISP2 Cases are manufactured in Europe according to strict quality Standards.
Certifications and Standards
ISP2 Cases meet part or all of several recognised shipping and packaging standards depending on the application, including STANAG 4340, Def Stan 81-41 Level J and ATA300.
These certifications and approvals reflect the system’s suitability for demanding professional transport environments where performance, durability and reliability are essential.
Available Colours
The broader ISP2 range is available in a variety of standard colours, including grey, tan, blue, yellow, maroon, white, green, black, red, olive drab and orange.
